The Awkward Moment Posts Genially

How to Play:

• You can play in pairs, small groups, or as a whole class.
• Students take turns choosing and opening a card. Each card reveals the beginning of an awkward story or social media post.
• The student must imagine the missing part of the story and complete it using Past Simple and Past Perfect. Encourage students to explain what happened first and what happened later.
• For each accurate and natural answer, award a point. You can also give extra points for creative or funny stories.
• Alternatively, play "Teacher vs Students" or divide the class into teams. Teams earn points for correct grammar and interesting ideas.
• The player or team with the most points at the end wins.
• Enjoy practising Past Simple and Past Perfect through storytelling!
