My Monthly Plan - Ordinal Numbers

Grammar activity Free

Individual work

The teacher gives each student one or more plan cards with names and dates.
Students talk about the person’s plans, using ordinal numbers to say the dates and “going to” to describe future plans.
They can also add 1–2 simple plans of their own using “going to.”

Group work (including breakout rooms)

The teacher gives one or more plan cards to each pair or group.
Students work in pairs or small groups (2–4 students).
They read the plans together and talk about the activities, using ordinal numbers for dates and “going to” for plans.
Students ask and answer simple questions (e.g. “When is it?”, “What is he/she going to do?”).
They can also add new plans for the same person using “going to.”

Class sharing

Invite some students or groups to present their plans to the class.
Other students ask simple questions about dates and activities.
Focus on clear speaking, correct use of “going to”, and ordinal numbers.
